The 2021 Chicken Festival was amazing. We zoomed from 8:30 am to 10:30 pm with breaks interspersed and a MO-TELL Annual Membership Meeting.

Thirty-nine people registered. Fifty-five Chicken, Fairy Tale, Folk Tale, Personal Experience, Inspirational, Ghost/Scary and Longer stories were told sprinkled with musical performances, plus the stories told during the break times. We may have a new story category in 2022.

2021 moved the Chicken Festival to Zoom. We had one attendee struggle to connect and a few more froze but then thawed. We condensed the Chicken Festival into ONE day.  The breaks helped and attendees were free to come and go as they needed. Instead of an auction we had a Fractured Fairy Tales workshop from Laura Packer. We used EventBrite to let people register for the Chicken Festival, join RAPS or renew membership and donate to RAPS. It was wonderful to see so many old friends on Zoom and meet so many new faces.

2022…RAPS hopes that we can return to Paola, Kansas in 2022, BUT we have enjoyed using Zoom so much that even when we return to LIVE meetings and events, we will have a Zoom component.
