River and Prairie Storyweavers (RAPS) is a non-profit, 501c (3) groups of STORYTELLERS located in the Kansas City, Missouri area. The mission of RAPS is to support the art of oral storytelling and the people who practice this art.

RAPS has three meetings per month:

First Thursday of every month from 7:00-9:00 PM:

       Trailside Center

Second Saturday of every month from 2:00-4:00 PM:

       Woodneath Library Center

       8900 NE Flintlock Road

       Liberty, MO 64131

Fourth Saturday of every month from 10:00-12:00 PM:

      John Knox Village

      Lee's Summit, MO 64157

In addition to monthly meetings, RAPS provides storytelling opportunities and workshops.

Membership:

While the majority of out members are located in the Greater Kansas City area, we have members across the country (and even around the globe!).

Annual membership dues for RAPS are $25 per person or $35 per family. RAPS membership gives you access to discounts, workshops, teller opportunities, and a great networking community.

RAPS is affiliated with the Mid-Continent Public Library – Woodneath Branch and The Story CenterMO-TELL, and the National Storytelling Network (NSN).
